Ko Mon Young is one of the protagonists in the popular drama series called "It's Okay to Not be Okay". Ko Mon Young lives with antisocial personality disorder that grew from her troubled childhood and turbulent relationship with her parents. In my opinion I believe her fashion is worn as an armor for her inner self as they often change with her emotions.

In Image (a), we see her wearing bold pieces with different shapes and extravagant headpieces. Those pieces enhance her size making her seem bigger and more intimidating. She also wears striking colours that catch one's attention to appear bold and decisive. Oftentimes she wears these outfits when she wants to appear strong, bold and confident to others. From my perspective her clothes help her feel more confident to carry herself with pride when she is in need of a little confidence boost. She wears most of her extravagant pieces in the start of the series before. I truly believe this as before getting to know her character I assumed her characteristics were very bold and a bit obnoxious but as I watched it I learned her true nature.

However, in Image (b) we see that her fashion takes a complete detour from her usual style. She wears more pastel and cooler tone colours. She also wears clothes that show off her natural body shape and clothes with a more calmer demeanour. In those episodes in the show is when she is calm and more confident in her inner self and doesn't need a confidence boost. It was in those moments I realised growth in her character as she concurs with her troubles. As her character gets to resolve her issue she gets more in touch with her own personal style which is a contrast from the first episode and last episode.
