Marceline is a character from the popular cartoon series “Adventure Time”. She plays the role of the Vampire Queen and a musician that writes her lyrics from her heart. Oftentimes she is the most attractive character in the show as she often has the best fashion style and pulls of all her outfit. With the extra series out “Adventure Time : Distant Lands”, that take part in the past, we get to learn more on her past endeavours and her growth as a character from the past to the present.
In her early ages of music, she is seen in gothic and emo fashion as that is where her music tends to be at. She is seen playing rock anthems while rocking fishnet ,a skull T-Shirt and a buzzcut. Then, she often wears the color black and red that shows off an aura of confidence. Rock bands often wear this genre of clothing as they want to put on an aura of intimidation as they usually are keeping their real self hidden , in a way their appearance is a shield to protect themselves from the outside world. I believe the same is going on with Marceline as when she is rocking this style, she is in the process of figuring herself out.
Going back to the present , she appears to widen the colours she wears and start to to not have a restriction to her fashion. Her music becomes more calming and more gentle to the ears as she is in a calm space. She is often seen wearing normal clothes we see everyday like sweatshirts , singlets , jeans , and casual sweaters. As she is more confident with her lyrics and in herself , her fashion portrays her music as she is an artist who wears her art on her sleeves.
